Well, I didn't have the guts to call it yesterday, but I smelled a Husky win all week. I consider myself a "Cougars fan," but it was proof once again that WSU is a bunch of losers, and you can count on them to ultimately choke when it gets down to it. It pains me to say that, but it's true. I wish I hadn't tried to be a Pollyanna ysterday and pick a Cougars win, when I more or less Expected them to gag it and lose. Now they are just plain fucked without Jason Gesser, and I hope they can figure something out in two weeks for UCLA, becasue a win there still puts them in the Rose Bowl.

Well, it's time for all the PAC-10 rivalry games tomorrow (except for Arizona, which is Friday). As always, you throw out the records and expect some wild results. Having said that, I have a strong feeling the Huskies could win tomorrow. They are as confident as ever, having kicked the crap out of Oregon in Eugene last week. The problem is, WSU is a lot better than Oregon. Most people probably haven't noticed how good the WSU defense is this year, and I believe that will be the key to the game. UW will be reduced to one-legged attack, WR Reggie Williams, and it won't be enough. The Cougars are coming off a bye week, and are rested and healthy. Expect to see a first-half shootout, with WSU gradually taking control in the second, with their defense shutting down the Huskies in the end. Jason Gesser will throw a couple key TD passes late, and make the game look more lopsided than it really was.
WSU 34 UW 23 (4)
Oregon is reeling, and the game is in Corvallis. OSU will play a tight, run the ball and play good defense strategy to a win
OSU 24 UO 20 (3)
I'm following a hunch, and thinking Arizona will shock an ASU team that was in the thick of the PAC-10 reace 3 weeks ago
UA 35 ASU 34 (5)
The "Big Game," I think Stanford has won 7 straight, but Cal has had a turnaround season, and won't be able to go to a bowl game because of an NCAA ban. That means they'll make sure they win this one.
UC-Berkely 30 Stanford 16 (1)
In the "Battle of Los Angeles" USC seems like the clearly superior team. Of course, that seems to mean they are just as likely to lose. UCLA is in a "Make their Season" position, similar to UW. Do I pick the upset???
USC 28 UCLA 27 (2)
(if you didn't figure it out, the number of parantheses is the "rank" of the game for points purposes)
NFL:
Uh, the Hawks play Sunday, right. Well, there's no TV, and I sure as hell ain't going, so I guess I'l miss it. Welcome to irrelevancy!
San Fran 7x7's over Pilly Iggles (the suddenly impotent Donovan McNabb-less Eagles)
K.C. Chefs over See Hacks
Denver over Indy
Miami over Sandy Ego
Tampa over Green

Well, I think I may have 43225 words for the novel. That is my rough figure. I'm reasonably sure I am at most 1500 words on either side of that figure. I need to get a comprehensive count, but I am too lazy for that right now. If I had just written it as one huge Word .doc, i could do that, but No, I had to split it into chapters!

Which ArchAngel are you most like?
brought to you by QuizillaLucifer. The most misunderstood of all the ArchAngels, you're most like the ArchAngel of Light. You've seen the darkside and have opted for something better. You need better press, though chances are no one will really understand your motives.
