So yesterday I had quite an active day. I got up quite early to go play 18 holes at Kayak Point (up in Sno-Co, near Stanwood, east of Marysville... they have a good deal up there: 18 holes and a cart for $25). Anyway, I suck at golf, but I could be much better if I played semi-regularly, but I don't, even though I know I'd enjoy it. I won't divulge my score because, frankly, I haven't added it up yet.
Then, after some napping and various forms of time-killing, I had a double-header indoor soccer games(s). We won the first game, quite handily, against a team that was on the second of their back-to-back games. Then we salvaged a draw in the second of Our back-to-back games, against a team we probably should've beat handily, had there not been a considerable fatigue factor. It was far from a pretty game, to say the least, but at least we didn't lose.
Of course, this made it that much more difficult to get out of bed this morning, and I stumbled around a bit with my stiff muscles. But after some semi-comatose staring at the newspaper with coffee in hand, it was off the Gig Harbor to continue work on my masterpiece.
